I loved reading the "Art of Apprenticeship"
I loved reading the "Art of Apprenticeship". It was an easy read, in simple to understand words that definitely makes you want to ignite that fire to better fuel your passions. The book reconfirmed to me that I am using my "gift" to help others. That in and of itself is just as rewarding to me as the money. It was rereshing to have that reiterated to me. So many times it seems like we get stuck in a rut and just go about our day, wondering if we are making a difference and impacting others with our gift. We need a reminder that we do make a difference with the gift we have... and this book was my reminder to always go about my passions with the most positive outlook that I can.

Part motivational storytelling, part roadmap to success, and part personal call to action. Great read!
Part motivational memoir, part personal call to action, and part roadmap to success, Azul walks you through story after story that will show you how to find what you love, figure out a pathway to break into that industry, undertaking, or passion, and then set yourself up for success. Each chapter starts with a motivational quote, contains a poignant anecdote about a well known person's challenge and/or philosophy about success, and then ends with a call to action suggestion for you to move forward. A great read with a lot of very pertinent information. Highly recommend.

Simply Inspirational
What Terronez has done here is incorporate multiple, previously disparate, discussions into a single motivational text. On one hand, this book is an intellectual discussion about techno-economic history: how the rise of a chiefly industrial economy has produced a demand for docile workers and how education as an institution has historically played a huge role in instilling that sense of docility. Then on the other, it is an inspirational call to action, full of motivational anecdotes and advice for people wanting to break the cycles of discouragement and fear familiar to us all. The chimeric and practical nature of this book have helped me to feel more empowered and inspired and think more critically about business, education, and technology. I truly think there’s something for everybody in this book, I personally have found much more than I anticipated.

Every educator needs to read this book
I sincerely wish Terronez would have written this book over a decade ago. In my thirteen years as an educator, I can't count the number of times I wished I had a book ready to hand students who did not want to pursue a university education. So many self-starters, entrepreneurs, geniuses, and different thinkers have passed through my doors and been discouraged by the thought of continuing in the same model that hadn't served them since day one. "The Art of Apprenticeship" charts an alternative path for people who want to carve out a niche based on their passions--without increasingly convoluted application processes, written exams, or other ill-conceived entrance criteria. I was inspired by the stories with "The Art of Apprenticeship" and now feel bettered able to speak about the success stories of people who have struck out on their own and found mentors and, in the process, success. This book is an invaluable resource to anyone looking to learn a new skill, pursue a new career path, or rethink how we educate young people.

stretching the box and Going Beyond the 9 to 5!
It is like, Mr. Terronez was in my head and I often thought how fortunate it would be to have a parent who was so encouraging. I think this is a fantastic book for anyone who believes "There must be a better way." I am not a parent, but all the while reading this I really felt it was such a great message for anyone who is cultivating young minds. It is a fantastic read for anyone really, but I think many people who have already succumbed to the fact there is more than 9 to 5 for life… life… then this isn't a catalyst, rather a confirmation that there is more than one way to be successful and it stretches much beyond what our current society deems traditional. I am excited to read anything he puts out as it reads well and makes me feel cared about as a reader!
